What the???

So, Will has decided he no longer wants to sleep like a champ. He's been waking up a least 3 times a night to eat. I guess he's going through a growth spurt. Little punk, mom needs her sleep! hehe only kidding, I love him...but I do need my sleep :P

So, once in a blue moon...

I think that's about how often I've been writing in this thing! I know, I'm horrible. And I must apologize to Kara for being a SLACKER! Sorry! I do love you!

Just to update everyone about what has been going on here, life has been great! Will is getting SO big! (I'll post pictures later) He laughs, smiles, and LOVES to hit things! We have this little gym thing for him, it's got fish that hang so he can hit them with his hands and a ball at his feet so he can kick it! It's so cute! He just giggles and coos every time he plays it. He's started sleeping an average of 11 hours a night, only waking up once. I owe it all to The Happiest Baby on the Block and Dr. Karp's method. If you are going to have a baby, read it. NOW! The weather has been great here, so we have been playing outside everyday. Will loves to be outside. One day last week, it was too cold to be outside, but I wanted to get some fresh air, so I took Will with me to check the mail, when we came back inside, he was SO mad. I am glad that he enjoys being outside though.

Our good friends the Davey's are leaving us and moving across the country to New Hampshire. We will miss them so much! Andy is going to drive with Brandon on Wednesday, leaving Will and I to fend for ourselves! (only kidding, we're gonna stay with Andy's mom) I am not quite ready to stay by myself at night. I know, what a sissy huh? It's ok though, my grandma bought me a sewing machine and while Andy is gone, I'm gonna make some curtains for our living room.

Andy has started working weekends at Rio Tinto stadium for the Real Salt Lake Soccer Team, working for the box office. He really likes it. Also, as the nice weather has started showing up, we got the scooter out! We love our Scoot and I can't wait to take it for a spin...too bad it is going to be raining all weekend :(

Andy's been preparing for the MCAT and I will be honest...I can NOT wait for it to be OVER!

In about 4 weeks, Will is going to have a new cousin! Little Kenz! We are so excited for Cass to have her baby! It'll be so fun! Even if his new cousin is a girl :P

I have been nursing Will since we brought him home from the hospital. As most of you know, it's not been a cake walk for us. I've been exercising a lot lately, and I didn't realize that pushing myself too hard could be drastic for my milk supply. I noticed that Will was getting really fussy and he was always pulling away when it was time to eat, so I decided to give him a bottle and pump, to see how much I could get. I barely got an ounce. So, I have started taking Fenugreek (Thanks Meghan!) I've only been taking it for one day, but Will hasn't gotten annoyed with eating yet today, let's hope he keeps it up and I can too.

Sorry I've been such a slacker. I promise I will post pictures of Will soon :)

What a Sweet Spirit

Last night Andy and I had the opportunity to go tot he Jordan River Temple with my grandparents and do the endowment and sealing for my grama's Grandparents and her daddy. My Grama is a 1st generation LDS, and it was so amazing to do the work for people so close to us. My Grampa stood in as my Great-Great Grandpa Corchel Caldwell Mullis, SR. My Grama stood in as my Great-Great Grandma, Hattie Elizabeth, Andy stood in for my PawPaw, Corchel Caldwell Mullis, JR and I stood in for my Great-Great-Great Aunt Thelma Elizabeth (she died when she was about 4 months old). This past St. Patrick's Day was the 11th Anniversary of my PawPaw's death. It was so amazing, you could just feel their Spirits in the room, rejoicing with us. Such a nice thing to be able to do with my Grandparents. Afterward, we went to Texas Roadhouse, talk about YUM! I got a steak, baked potato and ceaser salad. Andy got a rack of ribs, steak, sweet potato(YUCK) and veggies....it's very rare that we get to go out to eat, let alone by some steaks!

We left Will with our good neighbors, the Thatcher's. They took SUCH good care of him! He fell asleep over there at around 10, we picked hm up around 11, and I took him out of his swaddle, took off his clothes so he was just in a onesie, RE-swaddled him, and he didn't wake up ONCE! He then slept until about 3, ate...and only took at 10 minutes, slept again until about 7, ate, again only took like 10 minutes, then him and Andy slept on the sofa until TEN! 12 hours! I couldn't believe it! Needless to say, Andy was LATE LATE LATE to school...but oh well. He didn't get to see Will at all yesterday and I think it's more important for them to bond then for Andy to be on time to school.

Tonight we are going to my cousin Kricket's house for a mini-family reunion and baby shower...since we never got to do our shower with them because Will came early. I am so excited!

I wish I would have read this BEFORE I had a baby

I really wish I would have read this book before I had a baby. You NEVER know how stressful it can be when your baby cries...and you can't do ANYTHING to stop it.

EXCEPT with the knowledge you will gain when you read this book. You'll learn why babies cry, and what exactly is colic. Then you will learn how to reach your babies calming reflex.

So, if you have a baby, or are having a baby, READ THIS BOOK! It has saved my life, and more importantly...MY SANITY!

Just an update.

Sorry it's been FOREVER. I've not had the chance to do much of anything. This past week has been nuts! and pretty hard too. Andy's Grandpa Fraser passed away. Although I didn't know him for very long, I definitely feel like he was the grandparent I was the closest to. When ever we got together for family dinner, or Andy and I went to their house to visit, him and I would always talk about everything mostly how happy he was with his family. He was a great man and it was hard to see him go. We will really miss him, but we also know he is here with us. We can feel his presence. After all, Will is his namesake and we know he wants to continue getting to be with is family. His service was beautiful. Each of his grandchildren was able to take a rose from one of the bouquets. I have a frame I am going to put a picture of him in and I am going to add a few of the petals to go with the picture.

Here are four generations of Frasers': Andy's dad, Grandpa Fraser, Will and Andy

In other news...Will is still iffy about sleeping in his bed. Sometimes he will do it, other times he won't. He's been spitting up even more lately. We went to the Doctor today and we are set up for an xray to see if he has reflux. He was also weighed at 9 pounds 8 ounces and is 22 inches long! He's getting SO big! I can't even believe it!

My grandparents are coming into town on the 28th and I CAN NOT wait!

In the meantime, I plan on spending time with Andy and Will and our family! Andy's brother Jake and his Wife and three daughters are in town for two weeks from Arizona! We couldn't be more excited to see them!

My Stubborn Scotsman of a Son!

So, I guess I should just point out, our last name is Fraser. Andy's ancestors are Scotsmen. As some of you may know, Scots are stubborn as oxen!

My son is no exception to this rule.

He has decided he no longer likes to sleep in his cradle. Instead he wants to sleep on my or Andy's chest, or not sleep at all. But don't even think of putting him down, you better hold him. Yesterday morning I just couldn't hold him. I HAD to shower. He cried for an hour and half, STRAIGHT! The past two nights he has cried to much that I have taken him out to the living room and we have slept on the sofa. He sleeps like an angel when he's with either one of us. I don't know what to do about this new development. I have been keeping a crying journal and I'll show it to his doctor when we go on Thursday...I have also started getting Will on a schedule. It would work a lot better if I could just get him to sleep in his own bed though.

I miss sleeping in my bed! The sofa is not that great!

I love my family!

Since we got to bring Will home from the hospital, Andy and I have grown so much closer. I never thought we could love someone as much as we love Will. He has us wrapped around his little finger. Everyday, when Andy gets home, he plays with Will and just loves on him. And everyday all I can do is say "Ugh! You are SO cute!" I know I might be biased, but I have the cutest husband and son ever! The first week we were home from the hospital, we got a letter in the mail from my grandpa. I am very, very close to my grandparents and love them more then anything. None of you have met my grandpa, but he's quite the talker. He likes to give advice and tell all sorts of stories. Usually, one can tell when he's gettin ready to start up, and we always tease him about it. But, I love it. Well, in his letter he testified of the importance of Family Home Evening. Andy and I have never really been ones to do FHE, but it really changed Andy. Now, every week, we do something for FHE. And we even make sure Will is there with us, even if he is only sleeping. I've noticed that since we stared doing FHE, we have been closer. We actually comunicate with each other. I am so grateful for that. Last Friday, for our date, we rented The Cronicals of Narnia Prince Caspian. Let me just say....SUCH a GREAT movie! I love the Narina movies, but I have NEVER read the books. Well, Andy and I were talking about how it would be fun to read those books together. We always talk about reading books together...but Andy doesn't want to read Twilight. haha So, I went to the library and got the first two books. The Magicians Nephew and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Every night we read a chapter, and we have Will there with us, even if he's just sleeping. I love that we are spening more quaility time together. We have always spent lots of time together, but now it's not just watching tv.

I really have a great family and I am so grateful to my grandpa for sending us that letter and opening our eyes. If you aren't doing FHE, make a goal to do it. It's worth it.
